How to Incorporate Ultra Violet into your Bedroom

Ever since Pantone released Ultra Violet as their colour of the year, we’ve been researching ways to incorporate the vibrant shade into our bedrooms. Whether you opt for a bold wall colour, or add in some subtle details, ultra violet is a fantastic option for the bedroom. Read on to see how you can embrace the colour…

Pantone colour of the year

Wall Colour

Country Living

If you want to go all-in with Pantone’s colour of the year, choosing one wall in your bedroom to paint is a great way to stay on-trend with an eye-catching feature. This deep purple shade is ideal for the bedroom and ties in well with the ‘Brights’ trend for 2018. Try combining with other jewel tones such as emerald or sapphire, and luxurious fabrics like velvet.

Accessories

Dear Designer

Dark purple bedding, cushions, lamp shades or even flowers are ideal for adding a touch of the colour to your current decor. Consider choosing a violet bedspread or selecting some throw cushions to add an extra splash of colour. Dial the accessories up or down depending on how much Ultra Violet you’d like, and balance it out with a simple colour on the walls.

Bespoke Bed

At Sueno, we create luxury bespoke beds and headboards using a fabric of your choice. This Duke Chesterfield Bed is perfect in Amethyst Mystic Velvet and ticks all the right boxes! For an even deeper shade, opt for velvet in Aubergine British.

Rugs

Larger than an accessory, but not as permanent as a painted wall, adding a rug to your bedroom is the perfect way to give it an update. A simple rug will lift your current décor and draw the eye straight to the on-trend colour - just ensure you compliment the colour in the rest of your room.
