Upholstered beds remain extremely popular for many of us out there. The concept of using upholstery in bedsteads is clearly not a new concept but the sales demand for these remain strong year-on-year. Anyone currently on the lookout will be pleasantly surprised to find a wide range of upholstered beds, in a variety of styles, fabric & materials to suit any budget be it large or small. Upholstered beds are available in varied looks, from the softer feel of the beds with the padded headboards like the Frank Hudson Chesterfield Bed below, to the more retro feel of the classic 60’s and 70’s styles that still seem to be as popular as ever. Advice

Upholstery, irrespective of padding, fabric & weight is used to compliment to structural design & finish of the bed from itself. A recommendation from Sueno would be to define what styling you are trying to achieve in your bedroom space. This helps narrow down suitable upholstered beds. Options then would be to decide on whether you want upholstery for night-time reading comfort or purely for that ‘wow’ aesthetic appeal. Its all about your own personal taste. There are retailers that offer a range of fabrics for one upholstered bed style so its worth speaking to a retailer before purchase. Retailers may also be able to offer fabric samples.

Due to the popular demand for upholstered beds, you will be able to find them in most if not ALL furniture stores. Look for new designs that come through, and also look for the old designs as the end of the season comes as the store may have a sale and sell them off at a discounted price. As explained earlier in this post, there are a variety of upholstered beds to suit budgets both large & small. Different factors that affect the prices include:  Size, Materials Used (Woods), Fabrics Type, Finish, Delivery. Commentary On Frank Hudson

Frank Hudson Ltd is a family run business first formed by Frank Hudson himself in 1947. The company started out with Frank reproducing carvings and furniture destroyed by bomb damage during the Second World War. Now, the third generation of the Hudson family run the business; Tim and James concentrating on design, and Tom on logistics and customer service.
